Starting from this entry, I will be doing a regular feature, posting photos of the current makeup looks that I'm loving and wanted to copy. I always read and checkout the online versions of some beauty magazines, and is always fascinated with the different runway looks showcased in those sites. Sometimes, though, I admire how celebrities and their makeup artists are able to create really lovely and amazing looks.
For this entry, let's take a look at Olivia Wilde's cover shoot for the US magazine Allure.

I love the ethereal, fairy-like appeal this photo exudes. Soft makeup hues like the warm peachy-pink blush and the pink eyeshadows blended well into her skin looked very natural. Nude lips complemented the look really well. According to the article in the website, the photo shoot was done outside a Malibu house and that "Hairstylist Ken O'Rourke made Wilde a wreath out of flowers from its surrounding fields." Those pretty flowers on her head sure added a hippie yet ethereal appeal.
For this photo, she definitely looked like a goddess. This was shot while she was lying down over soft fabrics. She wears the same makeup here as in the earlier photo. But what I like about this one is that it matches the background too.
And lastly, here's a closeup shot of the makeup applied to her and the actual cover of the magazine for this month. Olivia's strong features has always been her eyes and eyebrows. Here, those brows are darkened to highlight and bring together her face. Those eyes, when applied with different eye makeup techniques, are so versatile that she sometimes looks different. Remember the movie, TRON: Legacy, where she sported short hair and black eyeliner? She really looked so different there, but I still like it.
So that's about it. How about you, what do you think of her makeup?
